During the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2021 as EBI Association from Jastrzębie-Zdrój (Poland )started to run a Facebook group profile of Senior Care Project (SOS) which is financed from the European Union, called Silver Senior e-Center.
The aim was to activate Seniors at home through digital tools as Facebook posts like brain teasers, videos presenting ways to make handcrafts, food recipes, to practice joga, belly dance, advice how to maintain good health and many more. In order to provide Seniors with access to the e-Center, our senior care experts and volunteers visited Seniors in their homes to teach them how to use smartphones and Facebook. EBI also have set up a Facebook profile for some Seniors. Thanks to this undertaking, our Seniors developed their digital skills and were able to have contact with each other, our employees and animators during the lockdown.
